How to use this calculator

Count Monday–Friday working days between two dates. Choose whether both boundary dates are included or excluded. A same-day range counts as one day only when included and that date is a weekday.

Holiday exclusion is optional and uses observed national U.S. federal holiday dates from a validated local OPM snapshot for 2026–2028. Outside those years, turn the option off to count Monday–Friday alone.

July 4, 2026 falls on Saturday; OPM observes Independence Day on Friday, July 3. With the option on, July 3 is removed once from the weekday count. An observed date may fall in the previous calendar year.

Federal holidays do not define every state, employer, bank, or school schedule. Presidential Inauguration Day is not included in this generic national calendar.

Federal holiday dates: U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Local validated snapshot: 2026–2028, imported September 27, 2026.
